Botswana - Education & Training Sector Strategic Plan (ETSSP 2015-2020)

The ETSSP sets out many of the challenges facing the education sector and the varied strategies, programmes and activities to meet the challenges. The strategic plan identifies areas of priority in order to focus resources in an efficient and effective manner on those areas in the education sector that will contribute most in enhancing the quality of learning at the different levels in the education system. It also presents the indicative costs of the planned activities and indication of sub-sector priority actions.

Botswana - Intergrated Health Service Plan 2010-2020

The Integrated Health Service Plan (IHSP) is the strategy that presents the vision for the improvement of the health status and health care of the population in the Republic of Botswana up to 2020. It identifies priority areas and aims to ensure that those health services that are being delivered will provide the highest possible benefits for all citizens.

A health system, defined by the World Health Organisation (WHO), includes all the actors and activities the primary purpose of which is to promote, improve, or maintain the health of the citizens.

National Health Policy - Botswana

The enjoyment of a level of health that allows every citizen to lead an economically and socially productive life is widely accepted as a basic necessity in any population. The World Health Organisation (WHO) defines health as “a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”. Botswana has been trying to attain this level of health status through improvements in the health sector over the years.

Botswana Institute for Development Policy Analysis (BIDPA)

The Botswana Institute for Development Policy Analysis is a non-governmental research organisation established by a deed of trust. The two key areas of BIDPA's mandate are development policy analysis and capacity building. Its aim is to promote policy analysis through research, capacity building, assisting organizations or individuals where appropriate monitoring the country's economic performance and disseminating policy research results.
